We are citizens concerned about the impacts and unintended consequences of wind energy development on the ecosystems and communities in areas where these projects are, or are being proposed. We are not anti-renewable energy.
Many townships and counties do not have the proper ordinances in place to ensure the public's health, safety and welfare, as well as to protect the environment adequately. Even the wind turbine manufacturers have more stringent recommendations and guidelines than our current township ordinances.
We are a large group of concerned citizens that have a common interest. That interest is that our township's ordinances protect what we value the most; ie. Public safety, health, welfare, property values, property rights, wildlife habitats, pristine natural resources such as hills, valleys, lakes, rivers and scenic views. Unfortunately, our current ordinance puts our citizens and all that we value at great risk.
Our group started in Blaine Township, Michigan, and has expanded to Arcadia, Pleasanton, Gilmore and Joyfield (we are your neighbors). If you are concerned about the impacts of industrial wind turbines and wish to seek more information, this site is a good place to start. Our group is respectful of each other's privacy and therefore, we do not give out any personal information.
